“Coming from a background of being self-employed and knowing that if you don’t work, you don’t eat. Most of my life I have been active in the community and church. I want to continue to work for you. With my experience, I know what it takes to find solutions, navigate the complicated governmental agencies, and get things done.”
While serving the residents in st. Clair Township as their Supervisor I was able to upgrade Loop Creek Park, work on developing a childs play area in Centennial Park, along with maintaining and upgrading numerous sewer lines, and upgrading the work vehicles. Also, reduced the sewer rate, being one of the lowest if not the lowest rate in the county. My belief is that if you don’t have the money than don’t buy it. I was able to receive grants totally over $100,000 to help upgrade the parks.
Dave is an extraordinary man with an extraordinary career in public service.
It’s time for equal opportunity, equal rights, and equal justice. It’s time for an economy that rewards those who actually do the work. It’s time for a State Representative who will stand up for all of us. Are you with us?
Representative Charlie Meir
In the 114th, my friend (and member of this closed group) Dave Barnes is taking on LaToya Greenwood. Greenwood’s previous victories against a shockjock (2016) and an underfunded challenger (2018) have been underwhelming. Against a quality, motivated candidate like Dave, she is vulnerable.
The NFIB Illinois PAC’s support is based on the candidates’ positions and records on small-business issues. “Our members support candidates who support small business,” said Mark Grant, NFIB state director for Illinois. “These candidates clearly understand the vital role small businesses play in the state’s economy and are committed to creating an environment where they can expand and create jobs.”
